Was Greg Lake right to leave King Crimson?
The BBC DJ and host of the Old Grey Whistle Test Annie Nightingale used to say that "In the Court of the Crimson King" was the best album ever made. But why then did Greg Lake leave at their creative peak? Was he right to leave King Crimson and go to ELP?
Are there any King Crimson fans here?
I just heard a song entitled, "In the Court of the Crimson King," yesterday--Children of Men, to be preceise--and immediately fell in love with it. I did a bit of research and found out that it was recorded by King Crimson. I'd really like to get one of their albums and was hoping to find someone here who knew something about them and might be able to recommend one. Your advice would be appreciated! That weird bit o' art that I've added to this discussion it the album cover that I found on Amazon's site.
Obama picks Kagan for Supreme Court
Never been a judge before....am I missing something?Personally, I think that Supreme Court nominees should have judicial experience, but there have been a number of Justices in the past that were not previously judges, including some excellent ones like Earl Warren (I realize most people here won't agree with my characterization of him Grin). In fact, Earl Warren was appointed as the Chief Justice without any judicial experience (I also believe that the Chief Justice should be nominated from within the ranks of the Supreme Court Justices).
Supreme Court Nominee
President Obama is expected to name Solicitor General Elena Kagan as the supreme court nominee. She has never served as a judge yet is very smart when it comes to the law. The comments on CNN are running rampant concerning her sexuality, looks and links to Pres. Obama. I suggest we all step back and look at what kind of supreme court justice she would be. There will always be those who will complain regardless when it comes to Pres. Obama but he is only doing what he is expected to do as POTUS.I am waiting to form an opinion until I know more about her. Does anyone already have an opinion and what did they base it on?
What not to wear to court
[em]rofl[/em] Please note* there is adult content in here* MAY 5--Meet Jennifer LaPenta. The Illinois woman, 19, was jailed Monday after a judge was offended by the t-shirt she wore to a friend's court hearing. LaPenta, wearing a black shirt with the message, "I Have The Pusy, So I Make The Rules," ran afoul of Judge Helen Rozenberg, a Circuit Court jurist who handles misdemeanor and traffic cases. A miffed Rozenberg, 56, summoned LaPenta from the gallery, and cited her for contempt of court. The judge then immediately sentenced LaPenta to 48 hours in jail, and had her removed from the Courtroom in handcuffs. LaPenta, pictured in the below mug shot, was released yesterday from the Lake County jail after spending the night in custody. She is now reportedly considering a lawsuit over her garment-related bust. In a May 3 court order, Rozenberg wrote that LaPenta, "displaying herself on the front row," offered "no excuse" for her apparel. In an amended order filed yesterday (presumably after she learned of media interest in the case), Rozenberg made sure to include the exact "obscene wording" found on LaPenta's...
Supreme Court gave landmark judgement on premarital sex.....
Tradionalists and other old timers might be not happy about this judgement but this is one of the best ever or the best judgement regarding the society proceedings especially in conservative society like Indian. I was wondering why there is so much fuss about the premarital sex since its considered taboo in India to have sex before marriage. As per biology, Humans can indulge sex after 14 years since their bodies and hormones will be pumping with sexual excitement. But due to the society and civilized structure of modern humans, its delayed for another 5 years so that society standing also play a part. So premarital sex is not at all an issue and its should be allowed. Nobody should dictate what a 16 year old person should do. Only precaution should be taken is in the case of early pregnancy and sexual healthcare. Maybe Indian society will go for a change after this ruling and become a modern superpower......

Blagojevich Trial: Redacted court papers made readable are there smoking guns?
On April 26,2010)Attorneys for former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich submitted a motion to the court on April 22, 2010 to issue a subpoena to obtain Barack Obama’s testimony at his corruption trial scheduled to begin on June3,2010. Parts of the court document have been redacted, fifteen areas of the court document has been completly blacked out. The link below is the fifteen statements that had been blacked out on the court document. It is any ones guess as to why the court redacted certain parts of the court document. President Obama told the FBI in his two hour interview after Rod,Robert Blagojevich and John Harris was arrest on December 9,2008 him nor his Washington D.C team had absolutely no contact with Governor Blagojevich in regard to his vacant United States Senate seat. The FBI picked up on a cell call made to John Harris cell phone on December 1,2008 this was redacted in the April 22,2010 court document,The conversation indicates other wise,Is Rod Blagojevich attorneys implying there is smoking guns, you be the judge? (PLEASE NOTE SITTING PRESIDENTS HAVE VERY RARELY TESTIFIED IN COURT BUT MODERN DAY PRESIDENTS HAVE ONE BEING BILL CLINTON)ROD BLAGOJEVICH...
Ms. Palin Upset about court ruling refusing National Day of Prayer
A court ruled recently that it would be unconstitutional to have a National Day of Prayer. Ms Palin spoke in Kentucky shortly after and was upset by the ruling telling the people that "We need to get back to our Christian roots, a comment she likes to use frequently. This is not the first time I have heard Ms Palin, and many other politicians that should know better, state "America is a Christian Nation" or "America was founded as a Christian Nation" yet the main stream media gives an automatic pass on this issue.I recently heard a high ranking Senator on a Sunday morning news show say the same thing. This guy has been in office for years and should be well versed in constitutional history yet no one called him on his incorrect statement. The spreading of incorrect information without correction eventually becomes truth. Why does the media give an automatic pass to these statements, is it because it is about religion or is it that they have heard it so many times they now beleive it also?More from this article. http://tinyurl.com/2d69ojn
Supreme Court "evading the issue?"
According to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the Supreme Court is evading the issue of ruling on whether one who is born outside the USA can be president. Why would they evad this issue? Why not simply do their jobs and uphold the Constitution? http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=142101
