myLot Discussions| JC Chasez Defends Britney On KIIS FM Interview | | JC Chasez was interview on KISS FM (in Pennsylvania), and defended his good friend Britney, when the DJ bashed her:JC Chasez: "She still is[the sweetest, nicest girl], man. She's got a great heart. She's going through something very difficult right now. I don't care who you are, divorces are never easy.[They're] never easy with two children involved. It's not easy[when everybody's watching every move she makes]; you can't be human. And the fact of the matter is I know plenty of 25-year-olds and 26-year-olds who are going out every night and[Britney's] not even going out every night! And for the last two years, she hasn't been able to do anything because she's had two kids within the past two years. So, you're talking about somebody who's 25 now who has not really left their house, really, and hasn't had any kind of freedom or liberties in the last two years. She's going through one of the most difficult processes in your life and that's a divorce. People are definitely shaking the finger at her going, "I can't believe you didn't wear underwear because da da da..." and I'm telling you right now she's not the only girl in the world[who doesn't wear underwear]. Just wondering what everyone thinks.... I think that JC Chasez sang just as well as Justin and should have gone th RnB pop route that Justin took. However I think that Justin collaborations with othe people at the moment aren't very good and I'm wondering if he's losing his appeal with others or is it just me? | |

| | Brit's Rocky Road to Rehab | | Britney Spears has re-entered rehab -- this time, perhaps, for longer than 24-hours. How did Brit go from America's Pop Princess to a bald, panty-less puddle of vomit? Here's a look at a meltdown in the making:
JANUARY 1, 2007: Britney allegedly collapses at Pure nightclub during New Year’s Eve festivities.
According to the New York Post and the New York Daily News, Spears collapsed in the VIP area of Pure nightclub in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve and needed to be helped from the nightclub just before 1 a.m.
Before she’s escorted out of Pure, Spears counts down to midnight inside the club, yelping, “Happy f—king New Year. What happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas!” Then, says a witness, she heads upstairs to the club’s balcony and drinks out of a Dom Pérignon bottle.
Meanwhile, Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, tells the Associated Press, "She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."JANUARY 4, 2007: Britney parties in LA.
Spears brings her demo CD while hitting up Chateau Marmont and club Area.
JANUARY 5, 2007: Britney announces her “freedom” to fans via her Web site -- and downs some apple martinis, too.

| | Britney's Lonely Valentine's Day | | While most of the music industry (including her exes Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline) was prepping for the Grammys last weekend, Britney Spears, 25, was in New York, on her way to earning the award for Hardest Partying Solo Artist (HPSA).
On February 3, Us spotted our HPSA out drinking and dressed “inappropriately” and her trip only got wilder from there. Over the next few days, Spears went on a spending spree, dipped her unwashed hand in a plate of bathroom mints, and stripped down to a bikini inside a nightclub. According to sources, Brit's week-long trip hit its partiest point on Feb. 10, when she tossed her cookies after partying too hard at club Tenjune.
Spears was supposed to be in town for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, but her nightlife suggested Brit, who's single on Valentine's Day after splitting two weeks ago with L.A. model Isaac Cohen, was more interested in Malibu & Coke than Dolce & Gabbana.
“I’d love to see her get focused,” JC Chasez, a friend and former bandmate of Spears ex, Justin Timberlake, tells Us.

| | Do you like Britney spears???? | | More than any other single artist, Britney Spears was the driving force behind the return of teen pop in the late '90s. The blockbuster success of the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys certainly paved the way for her own commercial breakthrough, but Spears didn't just become a star -- she was a bona fide pop phenomenon. Not only did she sell millions of records, she was a media fixture regardless of what she was (or wasn't) doing; among female singers of the era (many of whom followed in her footsteps), her celebrity star power was rivaled only by Jennifer Lopez. From the outset, Spears' sex appeal was an important part of her image; the video for her debut single, "...Baby One More Time," outfitted her in full Catholic-school regalia, and sent her well on the way to becoming an international sex symbol. Yet Spears' handlers seemed to be trying to have it both ways -- there was a definite tension between the wholesome innocence Spears tried to project for her female audience, and the titillating sexuality that enticed so many male fans. Those marketing tactics made Spears a somewhat controversial figure, the subject of endless debates concerning appropriate role models for teenage... | |
