myLot Discussions| I love the music of kt tunstall, what do you think of her music? | | I just love kt tunstall. I was initially drawn to the style of her upbeat 'black horse and the cherry tree' tune. That is what made me buy her CD. After I bought the CD though, I completely fell in love with her voice. I especially adore the song, heal over. I would put this song on repeat all the way to work! I know that this album is sort of old, but how would you categorize her style?
| | SouthPark KT Tunstall episode? | | I saw that SouthPark was going to have KT Tunstall as a guest character for the show. They have yet t show it. Does anybody know when? | |
| | K.T. Tunstall | | While watching tv this morning I saw a story on the rise in popularity of K.T. Tunstall, a singer from Scotland. Of course I had heard the name before since I listen to quite a bit of music. I had never taken the time, however to listen to anything of hers. I really liked her sound, but I liked even more the story of her success. It seems that she was considered "too old" at the age of 29 when she tried to get a recording contract. She has a lot of heart and a beautiful voice. The fact that she was adopted has not seemed to affect her adversely. I really like a success story like hers. | |
| | | KT Tunstall or Katherine McPhee | | I loved when Katherine sang 'Black Horse and a Cherry Tree' on American Idol... when I heard KT Tunstall's version, I thought back to McPhee's version and really liked hers better. | |
| | what song? | | I'm just wondering if you guys play songs while posting here on myLot.
I'm listening to KT Tunstall's Black Horse and The Cherry Tree right now. I just love hearing the line "no,no,no,no,no...you're not the one for me":D I actually want to say this to someone right now.
How about you, are you listening to a particular song right now? What line or part of the lyrics in the song can you related to or like the most?
| | What is your favorite song off of Regina Spektor's "Soviet Kitsch" Album?? | | I would have to say "Carbon Monoxide" but I also really like "Us", "Ode To Divorse" and "Chemo Limo". There is something about this album that just makes me want to listen to it over, and over, and over, and OVER again! I mean "Poor Litle Rich Boy" is played with two instruments at the same time! Now I don't know many people who could do that (besides of course one-man-bands and KT Tunstall, but she uses a Machine so I dont think that really counts)What about you?? | |

Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Alicia Keys Are Out Of This World At Live Earth
'Music can change people's minds. We'll see what happens,' Fall Out Boy's Andy Hurley says.By James Montgomery, with additional reporting by Shaheem Reid
Del.icio.us Digg Newsvine Send Print You Tell Us EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey — "You all came to this concert," Melissa Etheridge opined midway through a smoldering evening set at the Live Earth concert in Jersey, "because you are Americans." (Check out behind-the-scenes footage, on-the-ground coverage, fan reactions, videos and more on MTV's new You R Here blog; watch Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, John Mayer and more chat with John Norris at the NJ concert; and see performance pics of Rihanna, Linkin Park, Jack Johnson and more.) That's one way of looking at it. You could probably also argue that plenty of the 60,000 or so people who made their way out to Giants Stadium on Saturday (July 7) were concerned citizens of the world, plunking down their hard-earned cash to make a statement that the real fight against global warming begins today (though this is probably wishful thinking). Or perhaps everyone was just...
