myLot Discussions| Today is Sunday | | Hi there everybody,[em]lol[/em] I had gone to market with my wife. I just tried to find what we can purchase with one hundred rupees. Rupee is our Indian currency, INDIAN NATIONAL RUPEE (INR), one US $ is approximately 45 INR.
LOL 100 rupees can buy a plane vegetarian meal in a restaurant, where you don’t have to give tip to the boy. It can buy half of a roasted chicken, a plate of goat meat, 15 boiled eggs, one plate of fish curry, one plate of chilly chicken, two plates of cauliflower potato curry.
Well it can buy five kilograms of potato, seven kilograms of onion and three kilograms of good quality wheat flour or two kilograms of good quality white rice, one and half liters of cooking oil and 150 ml bottle of good quality hair oil.
In the vegetable market it can buy 2 to 3 kilograms of fresh vegetable; in fruit market three dozens of banana, one kilogram of grapes, and one dozen orange. It can buy two liters of petrol for my bike.[em]rasp[/em]
So what is your currency? What 100 units of your country currency can buy for you, what is your currency and how is it related to US dollars?

| | Joe And Hunter Biden/Barack Obama/ What Are Freinds For? | |
Mr. Obama's office said at the time that the $3 million request for the Adler was made because its projector was failing, "leaving the theater dark and groups of school students and other interested museum-goers without this very valuable and exciting learning experience."Two years earlier, Mr. Obama sought $300,000 for the Adler in another unsuccessful earmark request. But with Mr. Clark also serving as a big Obama fundraiser, the Adler request also is the sort spending proposal that invites scrutiny from Republicans scouring Mr. Obama's earmarks for political fodder in the presidential campaign."His earmark requests benefiting projects tied to friends and contributors is further proof that Obama's 'change' slogan is just words and nothing more," Republican National Committee spokesman Danny Diaz said of the Adler request.Officials for the Obama campaign and the Adler scoffed at the suggestion of political favoritism."The nonprofit Adler Planetarium is one of the leading astronomical institutions in the Midwest, offering programs for students, scientists and the public," Mr. LaBolt said.Adler spokeswoman Molly O'Connell said the planetarium had made...

| | Tell me what you think the genre would be? | | Stages by Teri Lee Hooper is the story of a West Texas girl who found herself bored with the small town she lived in and bored with her life. She set out to find the meaning of life, not afraid of what that really meant. She begins her search with a late night bus ride to the nearest ‘big city’ where she meets with disappointment and regret. Later, she finds excitement and the first glimpse of real life in a swanky nightspot not far from her hometown. There, she is taken back stage where friends show her how truly beautiful she is. When the tour boss sees her and realizes she has the most beautiful voice he’s ever heard he coaches her to center stage. She becomes the headliner of the show and travels to major cities performing and entertaining thousands. She travels to Hollywood, where she shares the stage with celebrities, to Florida where she realizes she is at last in love, and to Dallas where she is told the only man in her life has been taken from her by a tragic accident. | | Aww...he's so sweet!!! | | Well today is my sixth wedding anniversary to my most wonderful husband. And he surprised me today by doing something that I would have never thought he'd do. He ORDERED flowers and had them delivered to our door! They're a stunning one dozen pink/ white roses in a HUGE vase with purple little spray flowers too. Oh and a nice pink bow. Not only that but he also ordered me BALLOONS and a teddy bear! I love balloons but he doesn't buy them usually! I got three balloons - one huge one that says 'I love you' and two small ones that say 'I love you' and 'Happy Anniversary'. The teddy bear is quiet adorable and quiet cuddly!! I'm so excited! He usually goes out and gets them but he took last night off work so I guess he decided to order them. Oh and I can't forget about the sweet card! It says "Thank you for making each year better than the last. I love you".
I'm so excited!! We're going to dinner in a few hours at our favorite restaurant too. And maybe a movie. Although they're really isn't anything I am dying to see right now out so we might not.
I just couldn't contain my excitement so I had to share that with all of you!! Thanks for listening:)
Oh I attached the pic I uploaded...
| | Why a Dozen Counts Twelve (12)? | | I want to know the fact, why a dozen is always counted as twelve (12)? There are other numbers in our decimal number system as, 5, 10, 15... But besides these numbers, twelve (12) is chosen as one dozen. Will you justify it for my query? | |
| | | Why is everything so expensive in Canada? | | I would really like to know why!! I am living here and hardly affording it. I work hard, make a decent living, and yet still, find things extremely over priced here. When I go to the US to do shopping, which i do 2-3 times a month now, I am amazed at home cheap things are down there. We have to spend up to three dollars for one dozen eggs here, and at walmart in USA they cost 88 cents. So I could get 3 for the price of 1 here. That is only the tip of the iceberg. Clothing is cheaper there. The outlet stores there are actually outlet prices!! Our outlets here are just a marketing gimmick!! I dont find any cheaper than going to the actual store!! You can buy a pair of nike shoes in USA for under $30 here, that is unheard of, at the bare minimum would have to be $50. I am sick and tired of it, and this is why I REFUSE to spend any money here in Canada...I dont care if it is my country, I am boycotting the stores here!! Everyone else should follow this too, maybe we can force our government to lower our prices!!!Q | |
