myLot Discussions| I'm such a snacker! What should I do to fight temptations? | | I am not that fat, but I have flabs all over my upper body. I wanna lose weight. I am female, I weigh 62 kilos and my height is 5'7. I so want to be skinny, probably as skinny as those South Korean girls I see on TV LOL. In the Philippines, our staple food for every meal is rice, but I have been eating only a cup or less of it for more than a year now. But then, I SNACK a lot! I always crave for something, even when I am not hungry, so I go to the nearby store and buy chocolates or chips. I love sweets! I also drink either hot chocolate or creamed coffee every day. Definitely not a good diet, LOL. Any suggestions for me to stop snacking? Food is my weakness.[em]sad[/em] | |
| | How do you handle temptations? | | Let's suppose that you are in a relationship, you have boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife, let us know how faithful you are. We all know that temptations are everywhere, so how do you handle it? Do you face temptations or you are avoiding it? Do you let temptations come and just reject it or you are also doing things to avoid it. Me, I don't fall to temptations simply because I am faithful to the one I love. I love her sincerely so temptations have no chance to get me. Aside from rejecting temptations, I am also avoiding and staying away from it. I think if your partner is the one who is always on your mind and you love him/her so much, then you will never think of doing things that can hurt his/her feelings. If temptation is already in front of you, all you have to do is think of your partner and God, and you will not fall into it. So how about you, how faithful and loyal are you to your partner? I have always wondered at the idea of what makes us persons more like human beings. Does having all the physiological signs of our developmental age or the idea of succumbing to to fleshy temptations make us more human? I have always heard people who committed mistakes and who were able to realize their mistakes to rationalize that they did such mistake becasue they are just human beings? Is this reason enough to make a person more like human? To you, do u think succumbing to temptations make you more human? | |
| | temptations | | Temptation is everywhere and every single person is susceptible to these temptation, it is up to the man/woman to resist the fragrance of temptation. Now, both man and woman, why is it that cheating exist (having sexual intercourse with opposite sex other than their lover) although the genitals from person to person just look the same (although it isn't perfectly the same such as size, color, odor, etc..)? Well I don't know what it is but it seems like to me that i don't much have to worry about dealing with temptations because I don't really run into too many men that I feel like I just got to be with. One called me up today and asked me to call him and I text him back and said for what purpose? After that he never did call me back, it was my ex-husband, was I mean or what?
