myLot Discussions| How do you like Tom Jones? | | The music of Tom Jones captivated my heart as early as my childhood days during the 1970s up to my teenyears. He is my uncle's favorite who used to bring cassette tapes of Tom Jones to our house, that'a how I got acquainted with his music.
The singer Tom Jones sings very beautifully and always with deep passionate feelings. He has a very captivating high quality voice that immortalized great songs such as "My Elusive Dream",:One Day Soon", "She's A Lady", "Green Green Grass","Help Yourself", "Delilah", "I Who Have Nothing", "I Believe" and many other great hits. His rendition of the song "Green Green Graee" and "I Believe" was just marvelous. He was indeed s hitmaker of the 1960a up to 1970s and I believe he is one of the best male vocalist the American music industry produced.
Tom Jones is one great singer who will remain unforgettable through the years for his music made a substantial contribution to the music of yesteryears. How about you do you like the music of Tom Jones?

| | | Just call me Sexbomb! | | As I only exist to bring a smile to your little faces I thought that today I'd try something different. Many of my female friends enjoy a little pampering I know. So today I have tried a face mask for the first time. It's really me tryng to get in touch with matters feminine. It might also be construed as having too much time on my hands. So tell me - did you ever see such a sexy face? Are you a face pack user too? | |
| | The Wonders music on That Thing You Do - I love them! | | Well, what can I say, I bought this CD because I really love all the music I heard from the movie. I am only on my thirties but I don’t know, I’m really hooked on this film and its music. You know what, the film almost convinced me that there really is a band in the past called the The Wonders because I really liked their songs. First is the opening song in the movie I Love You Lots and Lots which repeatedly rings on my head when I remember the beginning of the story, very christmasy if there’s really a term for that. My favorite of course is That Thing You Do, I even love this song better than the Beatles song, always makes me feel to dance those bebop steps while I listen to it and reminds me of Liv Tyler as she watches her love interest, feels sad about her that the boy was actually fooling her. Dance With Me Tonight really has that oomph whenever I hear it and makes me a real fan of this era. All My Only Dreams is a very sweet love song really. Mr. Downtown is very catchy and reminds me of Tom Jones very much but of course, this is by another singer. My World Is Over is more lovely to hear completely than the brief ones when you watch the movie. The piano piece by Del Paxton... | |
| | Did you like Ms. Congeniality? You'll love the soundtracks I'm sure. | | We totally love this CD. I think every girl who loves to dance and in the mood to dance should grab this CD. The steady rhythm and beat is enough to make you feel sexy, the One in a Million by Bossa, and If Everybody Looked the Same by Groove Armada. And of course, who would miss the Dancing Queen. It's an absolute classic that always turns me on even if I feel I'm getting old when I'm listening to it. She's A Lady by Tom Jones is not so much of a groove but an interesting track too. The best track I love and my daughter too is None of your Business by Salt-n-Pepa. The lady rapping is just enough to keep the two of us dancing over and over again. | |
| | Who do you want to be the next Doctor? | | From the Doctor Who News Pagehttp://www.gallifreyone.com/news.php#newsitemEkppApyVEEMMAaImWkOctober 31, 2008 • Posted By Chuck FosterAfter the announcement of David Tennant leaving, it was inevitable that the media would begin to speculate on who would assume the role of the Doctor in 2010. BBC Entertainment reporter Lizo Mzimba made a report on Tennant's departure which ran on BBC news programmes over the course of yesterday, citing Paterson Joseph (previously seen in the series as Rodrick in the series one finale), David Morrissey (to be seen in the forthcoming Christmas special), and James Nesbitt as the leading choices.Betting site William Hill have offered odds on a number of actors for the role (listed below); an article on their website has reported on how the odds on Welsh actor Rhys Ifans have been slashed following bets made in the Cardiff area! Says spokesman Rupert Adams: "So far we have not been able to find out where the rumours about Rhys are coming from but on paper we think he will make a good doctor".Today's Telegraph speculates on the top choices in more detail, also speculating on Catherine Tate - the possibility of a female Doctor once... | |

| | Carlos Santana | | Good Morning Mylotters! I am wondering if any of you also like Carlos Santana? I bought his Supernatural Cd awhile ago, and I stil like the songs. There is just something about the man's handling if that guitar on the stage that drives me. I also like how Santana can play with various artists, and he always does such a good job! Aynone remember MAria Maria with Wyclef? I love this song, I could dance to it forever. And how about The Love of My Life with Dave Matthews? I cannot get that song out of my head! I think Carlos Santana plays well alone and with others, too. The man is a guitar god. If I had to choose which concert to go to, it would be between Santana and Pink Floyd. How about you? I wonder how long Santana has been strumming? | |
| | What is your favourite "cheesy" song? | | I'm in the process of burning some audio cd's, and have decided to make one with ultimately cheesy music. You know the songs I'm talking about... they are songs that pretty much everyone knows, and a lot of us actually LIKE them, but overall, they are really cheesy. What is your favourite cheesy song? Are there any others you could recommend I add to my cd? Here are some examples of what I have so far:"I will survive" - Gloria Gaynor
"Who let the dogs out" - Baha Men
"Canadian Idiot" - Weird Al
"It's not unusual" - Tom Jones
"I'm too sexy" - Right Said Fred
